I must say that any game with a playable lightsaber but no dismemberment is just asking for a review score reduction or is trying to wrestle with some age rating score. Jedi: Fallen Order’s lightsaber carnage is rather tame for that matter.

Fallen Order has received a lot of praise for how the lightsaber mechanics feel. But many have found the visual effects of slicing enemies with (basically) a laser sword have been quite underwhelming.
Better Sabers
Well, I love Star Wars and one thing I noticed offhand is that the Jedi Fallen Order doesn’t give you that many color options for lightsabers. But there is always a way to fix that…
Creating anything about Star Wars is quite a huge order, given the hordes of cult fans who remain dedicated to the original lore.
That said, it can’t be avoided that things are going to get combed through in detail. And one of the first things people notice has to be the lightsabers. Of course, the lightsabers. the best part of it! There are a number of mods when it comes to lightsaber customization, one of the best being BigTP’s Better Sabers.
This mod changes the colors for all lightsabers making them appear much brighter than vanilla.
Dismemberment Alpha
After you get the mod for better lightsabers, maybe you can give Alpha Dismemberment a try. With this mod you will get to enjoy the brutality and carnage that a weapon like this could bring to humanity. And, of course, only true gamers could carry it.

This mod gives you complete control of what color lightsaber you use in the game, allowing you to input any color within then RGB spectrum.
As if that wasn’t enough, the mod will let you customize your saber’s sound effects as well.
SooperSnell’s Sabers Pack
For those who are already quite familiar with the game, you’d know that looting different chests around the world rewards you with cosmetic lightsaber parts to modify your weapon with.
The parts are purely cosmetic of course, but offer a simple way to personalize your weapon and make if feel more unique with every new piece you unlock.
SooperSnell’s Sabers Pack replaces some of the saber parts you find throughout the game with some of the more well-known ones, making it feel more like an easter egg hunt than random loot drops.
With this mod installed, you’ll be able to piece together sabers wielded by Darth Revan, Qui-Gon Jinn, and even Darth Vader.
For those who are already quite familiar with the game, you’d know that looting different chests around the world rewards you with cosmetic lightsaber parts to modify your weapon with.

Welcome back, Jedi. You’ve faced the trials and tribulations of a dangerous galaxy. You’ve confronted troopers, beasts, Inquisitors, and a foe far greater than all of them combined. But despite all that, you made it through!
To start things off, we wanted to take this time to thank all of you! From the day we first announced the game to right now, it’s been an absolutely wild ride and a truly humbling experience to see how much so many of you have enjoyed this game. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed seeing many of you react so positively to the game, from your screenshots, videos, fan art, cosplay, live stream reactions, and more!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being such a supportive community! It means the galaxy to us. Your passion has moved us so much that we felt we just had to do something extra as a thank you, and that’s where this update comes in.
Available now, we’re releasing a free content update for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order™. Within it, you’ll find new cosmetics for Cal and BD-1, new modes for those of you who’ve become a Jedi, and some additional tweaks and fixes that should make things more enjoyable for all players.
Let’s get into the details!
Meditation Training is the biggest part of this update and is a new game mode hub that can be accessed from the Meditation points found throughout the game (further details on that below). In it, you’ll be able to face off against all enemies, including bosses, in two different modes: Combat Challenges and the Battle Grid.
Combat Challenges will pit Cal against waves of enemies across multiple planetary backdrops from across the galaxy, including the Imperial stronghold Fortress Inquisitorius. Each unique location will feature its own unique challenges, too, allowing for tailor-made experiences that draw from each environment. Different challenges will have different numbers of waves and each will have a three-star completion rating.
What makes these challenges especially unique is that they’ve all been designed for veteran players. They’re designed to be tackled when Cal is at his strongest and most experienced towards the end of the game, so be wary if you decide to take on challenges early in a playthrough. The abilities Cal knows at the time of entering his meditation will be the ones you take into a challenge.
There are 12 challenges in total and each challenge has three stars. Unlocking twelve stars in total, regardless of how many you get per challenge, will give you three new BD-1 appearances.
